Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The three SNA positions comprise of two full time positions (full hours) and one job share fixed term position. The two full time positions to include the 72 hours required under the Croke Park agreement for SNAs. The one fixed term job share position is for the school year 2025/ 2026. This job share position comprises of a one week on and one week off basis. The job share position to include half of the Croke Park hours as outlined above .
Applicants who are members of the Supplementary Panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel form 1 (PF1) with their application.
Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as per Department of Education Guidelines.
To meet the needs of the school the following competencies are desirable:
• Knowledge and experience of working with children with ASD and/or complex needs
• Experience of working with children with behaviours of concern and promotion of positive behaviour strategies
• Evidence of CPD in the area of Special Needs in relation to education
• Child protection training and certification
• Candidates must be able to work well within a team, display a strong work ethic, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training
Appointment is subject, but not limited to, satisfactory references, current Garda Vetting and OHS.
