An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management of Scoil Naomh Molaise invites applications for a fixed term SNA position (0.5 post). This is an SNA job sharing position for the school year 2025/2026. The job share arrangement will work on a split week basis, i.e. one SNA will work Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and the second SNA will work the next 5 school days.
It is desirable that the successful candidate will have:
• Experience of working with children with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, hearing impairment, physical disability and challenging behaviour.
• Experience in supporting children with sensory, communication, emotional, behavioural and intimate care needs.
• Additional relevant qualifications or experience, e.g. Irish Sign Language, Lámh, first aid, manual handling etc.
• A proven flexible approach, demonstrated a willingness to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills and a willingness to avail of further training.
