An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This fixed term post is for a SET Teacher covering a job share.
Class placement is subject to change at the determination of the Principal.
Meelick Primary School seeks applications from committed individuals who display a keen understanding of teaching, who are team players and who are willing to contribute to the overall development of the school. The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
- Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
- Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with Autism, Dyslexia and MGLD would be beneficial to the role as would a knowledge of Assistive Technology, Assessment and writing SMART targets for SSPs and IEPs.
- In addition, experience in any of the following: Team Teaching/ In-class support/ Literacy Lift Off/ Ready Set Go Maths interventions would be advantageous.
- Additional extracurricular skills are highly desirable, particularly in the areas of music and sport.
