An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Martinstown NS is a mixed rural school under the patronage of the Patronage of the Bishop of Limerick. Martinstown NS has multi-grade mainstream classes and one Moderate General Learning Disability class.
There are two fixed-term posts for 2024/25 to cover career breaks. The posts are one mainstream class and one special class fixed-term teaching posts initially but may be subject to change.

The following requirements are desirable :
- Being willing and able to work as part of a team and contribute to the overall
development of the school
- Experience teaching in a multi-grade setting
- Experience of working with children with Autism in a mainstream school setting
- Experience working in a special class or SET
- Experience team teaching in Literacy & Numeracy
- Experience of using Restorative Practice
- Ability to play an instrument
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as debating, coaching sports, clubs, school initiatives
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate how they will contribute to the Catholic Ethos of the school. A recognised Certificate to teach Religion is required.
Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, Occupational Health Screening and current vetting requirements.
