An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Mary’s CBS invites applications from qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated teachers for a Specified Purpose full-time Mainstream class teacher position, commencing on 28th August 2025 until the end of June 2026. This position arises from a parental leave arrangement and will run for the full academic year.
Essential Criteria:
• Recognised Primary Teaching Qualification.
• Hold a Certificate to Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
• Registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland, with qualifications listed under the appropriate route for primary teaching.
• A genuine interest in and commitment to working with students with additional educational needs.
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience in a Special Education setting or with team teaching/resource teaching models.
• Training or CPD in areas such as dyslexia, autism, behavioural support, or literacy/numeracy interventions.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed and dynamic school team.
• Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
Additional Information:
• Garda Vetting will be required in accordance with DES regulations.
• Appointment is subject to current and future Department of Education & Skills requirements and approval.
