Ballinure NS are seeking a committed individual to take on the role of Deputy Principal in our small, rural primary school. We aim to promote the development of the whole child. Spreagadh, Moladh agus Comhoibriú acknowledges our belief that encouragement and praise promotes positive self esteem which in turn empowers the child to experience success. The Catholic ethos permeates all our school activities.
This is a leadership and teaching role, with a key focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) coordination and ICT integration.
The successful candidate will support the Principal in managing the school, while also teaching in a multi-grade classroom.
The appointment will be made under the terms of Circular 0044/2019, is an open competition
& the roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains outlined in this
circular:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in Special Educational Needs coordination.
Strong ICT skills and enthusiasm for digital learning.
Appointment is subject to current Teaching Council Registration, Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening
