Scoil Triest is a special school for students with a dual diagnosis of autism and mild / moderate intellectual disability aged 12 - 18 years.
Scoil Triest are seeking to appoint bus/taxi escorts commencing in September 2025. The escort will accompany a student/Students on specialised bus transport (taxi) from their homes to and from school.

The successful applicant will be picked up by the taxi at the school in the morning, travel to the student's home to pick them up and accompany them to school. For afternoon drop off, the successful applicant will accompany the student/students from the school in the taxi, drop them off at home and the taxi will return the escort to the school.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the student and will be required to assist them getting into and out of the taxi and securing appropriate seatbelts.

Experience working with children with autism is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.

Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.

Salary is €15.50 per hour processed fortnightly during school term time.
