St John Bosco Junior Boys’ School and St John Bosco Senior Boys’ School are seeking to appoint bus escorts. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.

Position 1 (commencing the 3rd of June)
The escort must be available in the mornings (7.30-8.50 am) and afternoons (2.20-4 pm), five days per week for the school year.

Position 2(commencing the 23rd of June)
The escort must be available in the mornings (7.30-8.50 am) and afternoons (1.20-3 pm), five days per week for the school year.

We also seek a panel of escorts to provide long-term and short-term relief cover on other routes.
The contract is subject to change should pupils join/leave the service. Escorts must be able to meet the bus at the first pickup point.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them in getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff professionally, they will need to communicate regarding pick-ups/drop-offs, illnesses, traffic, delays, etc.
The appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is €15.50 per hour processed fortnightly and only during term time.
