Monastery National School Ardee is a DEIS2 school of 11 mainstream classes, 6 SETs and one shared HSCL.
Applications are invited from fully registered teachers (under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council).
Applications are by email only and must be submitted no later than 3pm on May 21st 2025.
The candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience and will demonstrate the following;
· An understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic primary school
· An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience
· A high level of understanding and knowledge of special education needs and of inclusion and diversity in education
· Excellent people management and communication skills
· Proven leadership skills
· A commitment to and evidence of continuing and relevant professional development
· Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives including DEIS action planning.
· Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer a school
· Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload
· Appointment will be subject to current Vetting requirements, satisfactory references and Occupational Health Screening
- A comprehensive understanding and evidence of leadership in the four domains of Leadership and Management aligned to "Looking at Our School 2022".
