An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

SN Tobair Eoin Baisde is a co-educational national school with three mainstream class teachers and one SET. The vacancy is for a Teaching Principal. The successful candidate must be fully registered with the Teaching Council, be Garda Vetted and appropriately qualified.
The roles and responsibilities for the post are set out in the four domains of Leadership and Management, as specified in DoE Circular 0044/2019, Chapter 4.

1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.

The successful candidate will demonstrate :
- A clear understanding and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic primary school.
- An in-depth knowledge of the Primary school curriculum and a broad range of
teaching experience.
- An understanding and knowledge of special education needs and of
inclusion and diversity in education.
- Excellent management and communication skills.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer a school.
- Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload.
- Evidence of ability to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with all
staff members, Board of Management, parents/ guardians and the wider school
community.
- A clear and definite understanding of the four domains for leadership and
management in a school as set out in ' Looking At Our Schools 2022 - A Quality
Framework.'

The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
