Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The bus escort will accompany and support pupils on a mini bus from their home to and from school. The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, five days per week for the school year.
The bus escort is responsible for the safety of the children on board the bus and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, securing appropriate seat belts, ensuring pupil safety on the bus, etc.
No official qualifications are needed, however, good communication skills and experience of caring for / working with children with additional needs is desirable.
The post is 20 hours per week. The bus escort should be available in the mornings from approximately 7.30am and in the afternoons from approximately 1.20pm.
The bus escort will meet the driver each morning and afternoon in Nobber (or in Kilmainhamwood).
Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting requirements, occupational health check and verification of references.
Please note that depending on the profile of the children on the bus you may be required to undertake other courses eg. manual handling, administration of medicines etc.
Please include at least two work reference and one character references and their contact details with your application.
