An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Mhuire de Lourdes invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of full-time Special Needs Assistant.
Applicants should have qualifications in line with the Department of Education Circular 0051/2019
o Candidates must be willing to work under the direction of the Class Teacher as well as the Principal and be willing to avail of all relevant training.
o Candidates must be able to work on his or her own initiative and display a strong work ethic. In addition, the candidate should have a flexible approach and demonstrate willingness to work as part of a team.
o Willingness to get involved in school initiatives and share specific knowledge and expertise in such areas would be advantageous.
o The successful candidate will be expected to always respect confidentiality.
It is desirable that the candidate have:
o evidence of continuous professional development
o experience working with children with A.S.D., O.T, E.B.D, diabetes and medical care needs
