Applications are invited for the position of term time only Bus Escort to accompany students on their bus journey from the Blackrock area to and from school in Glenageary.
Duties will include:
* Escorting the pupils safely to and from school.
* Liaising with school staff and parents/guardians when necessary.
* Assisting the pupils to board and alight from transport safely and ensuring that the pupils are received by the responsible adult at each set down point.
* Ensuring the pupils are seated and wearing a safety belt for the duration of the journey.
The position is for approximately 20 hours per week during school term time, accompanying pupils on a private mini bus to school in the morning to be in school by 9am, and then bringing them home when school finishes at 2.40pm.
The hourly rate of pay will be €15.20 Bus Escorts are not paid during school holidays but are paid for Bank Holiday closures.
The Bus Escort must have a caring disposition. Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs is desirable. Letter of Application (including referees) to be sent by email to reception@carmonaschool.ie.
