Crehana N.S. invites applications from highly dedicated candidates, flexible, enthusiastic and willing to work on own initiative. Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be responsive and sensitive to arising additional needs of the school, show a willingness to engage in up-skilling/CPD, show patience, kindness and care in their day to day duties and contribute positively to the work of our existing team.
The duties of these posts are supporting the care needs of pupils with additional needs, as laid out by the Department of Education & Skills in Circular 0030/2014. The successful candidates will be expected to respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils and will be expected to avail of further training as required. The roles will involve working across our school with several children who need a range of different kinds of support. Relevant training and experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour would also be an advantage.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel, with Supplementary Panel rights, must furnish a completed PF1 form.

Applicants must have the minimum education requirements set out in the Department of Education and Skills Circular 51/2019 and additional qualification in additional/special needs care is advantageous. Position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review. The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, confirmation of qualifications, and occupational health screening.
