Cork ETB invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Special Class Teacher in Carrigaline Community Special School under the below contracts of employment:
1 X Permanent Contract of Employment wef 1st November 2024
1 X Maternity Leave contract wef End December 2024
Carrigaline Community Special school is a new special school to be established under the patronage of Cork Education and Training Board. Carrigaline Community Special School will have the capacity to provide 48 school places and will provide for the needs of children with autism and general learning disability up to eighteen years of age.
To qualify for appointment candidates must be able to comply with the following;
Be fully registered under Route 1 (Primary)/Route 4 (Other) Excluding Route 4 (2) Post Primary is required.
A post-graduate qualification in Special Education is desirable.
Significant experience with children who have a diagnosis of Autism/Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or Special Education Needs is desired.
