This is a Teaching Principal position
Kilcrohane National School is a 2 Mainstream, 1 S.E.Teacher, village school which nestles in the heart of Kilcrohane village. Living in such a naturally scenic place, the school community has a great interest in environment preservation issues, and was awarded its 8th Green Flag in 2023.
Our current enrolment is 31 pupils of mixed gender.
We are a Droichead school.
A minimum of 3 candidates will be required for the process of selection to proceed.

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
An understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic primary school
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience
Excellent people management and communication skills
Ability to foster links with parents and within the wider community
A commitment to inclusion and diversity
Proven leadership skills
A commitment to and evidence of continuing and relevant professional development
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives
A high level of understanding and knowledge of special education needs and of diversity in education.
Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer a school
Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload
Previous experience in policy development
