We require a bus escort to accompany and support pupils with ASD on the school bus. This position will require availability to work 5 days per week for 3 hrs minimum per day.

The escort should be available between 7.30 - 9:30am and in the morning between 1.30 – 3.30pm in the afternoons (subject to change). The school is the meeting point with the bus contractor and escorts must have their own transport to and from the school.

The hourly rate of pay is €13.40 per hour, in line with the Department of Education and Skills guidelines for school bus escorts

Good communication skills are essential and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable. The successful candidate will be:
 Responsible for assisting pupils in and out of the bus and to ensure pupils' safety when travelling
 Responsible for observing and supervising pupils while travelling
 Responsible for communication between home and school.
 Observe confidentiality in all aspects of work.
