The Red Door School is a school for children with Autism and complex needs, aged 4-18. Experience working with autistic children in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience and competency in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive teaching technologies for autistic pupils, demonstrate the ability to work within and lead a class team, have experience working from behavioural support plans and managing behaviours of concern.

We are looking for a special class teacher who has a willingness to learn and an interest in educating pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and complex special needs.

We are looking for a teacher who is inclusive, flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative whilst making a positive contribution to the school team.

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake in-school training which relates to the needs of pupils and the school.
