Scoil JFK invites applications for a permanent teaching position. The successful candidate will initially be assigned to a special education teaching role, though this assignment may be adjusted by the school principal based on the school's needs and priorities.

The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 6th day of August, 2024 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Limerick. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 11th day of August, 2024. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 14th day of August, 2024. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.

• Applicants are required to provide evidence of a recognised qualification in Religious Education.

Desirable Requirements:
•Candidates must show a willingness to work well as part of a team, be adaptable, and exhibit a robust work ethic.
• Candidates have completed the Droichead process
• Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as STEM, the arts, coaching team sport.
• Experience in team teaching desirable, particularly with regard to initiatives such as SGLI,
Accelerated Reader, guided reading, Mata sa Rang,
• Experience and knowledge of ICT in the classroom to enhance the learning experiences of
pupils through meaningful, evidence based methodologies.
• Experience of working with children with complex needs in a mainstream setting

The appointment will be subject to but not limited to satisfactory references, evidence of qualifications, Teaching Council confirmation of registration, compliance with current Garda Vetting and OHS requirements.
