The post holder will work under the direction of Professional Learning and Development Manager to provide technical, technically informed pedagogic and expert advice and the support and training on the use of educational technology in a variety of different teaching and learning contexts.

As a member of NCSE professional learning and development team, the post-holder will also be expected to drive and actively support the organisations technology-enhanced learning innovations and projects across the multi-disciplinary Inclusion Teams in NCSE and at a cross pillar level when required.

The overall aim of the Inclusion and Education Support Services Function is to ensure the delivery of a professional and co-ordinated service aligned with students, school communities and parents. The function should provide evidence-based advice to NCSE staff and the broader organisation relating to special education service provision, and should ensure that any programmes delivered are reflective of both student and school needs and facilitate the continuous support of students, school communities and parents throughout their education journeys.

This Educational Technologist role sits within the overall programme of work of the NCSE Inclusion and Education Support Service. It plays a critical and significant part in the delivery of NCSE professional learning service to the schooling communities in the educational sector and NCSE serving staff. As an integral member of the Inclusion Team for Professional Learning and Development, the Educational Technologist will work to deliver NCSE standards of innovation, evidence informed practice and policy oversight informing a world class Inclusive education system for Ireland.

NCSE is now seeking to recruit an experienced educational technologist who will join the NCSE Professional Learning and Development team. The position will be based in the NCSE office in Metropolitan Buildings, James Joyce Street, Dublin 1.
