St Brid’s is a school that provides a holistic and individualised approach to meeting the educational needs of pupils aged 4-18.
Our pupils present with specific learning needs and our remit is for pupils with a moderate to severe/profound GLD, children with ASD and pupils with complex medical needs.
The successful applicant will need to have significant experience in teaching children with SEN.
They will need to hold experience in leading teams towards clear objectives and be able to work as a member of a diverse team. They will need to be good communicators and able to motivate those around them.
They will need to demonstrate a good theoretical knowledge of teaching children with SEN, inclusivity, knowledge of current practices, policies and curriculum developments.
The roles and responsibilities of the post of Principal Teacher are determined by the four domains of Leadership and Management as set out in chapter 4 of Circular 0044/2019:
1 Leading Teaching and Learning
2 Managing the Organisation
3 Leading School Development
4 Developing Leadership Capacity
