An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of St. Patrick's N.S. would like to invite applications for 2 SNA posts 0.5 hrs post permanent and also a 0.5 specific contract post.The successful applicants will be required to work in a mainstream or special class setting.

The SNA to cover a 0.5 specific purpose contract will be a post covering a job share. The successful applicant will work a split week-3 days one week and 2 days the next opposite the current SNA

Applicants who hold a PF1 panel form should submit this with their application for 0.5 post

Appointments are subject to satisfactory referencing, Garda vetting and Occupational Health Screening.
Experience working with pupils with Autism sensory and communication difficulties is desirable as is a practical experience with the promotion of positive behaviour.
Evidence of CPD in the area of Special Education is advantageous as well as displaying a commitment to ongoing CPD engagement. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school and be willing to work in collaboration with all members of staff to maximise each child's potential.
