An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Anne’s Special School is a school for children with Moderate, Severe and Profound General Learning Disabilities, as well as autism and additional needs. We cater for students from 4-18 years of age. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each student and we offer access to the primary curriculum, Junior Cycle Level 1 and a School Leaver Programme.
We are looking for a progressive and enthusiastic teacher to join our team of 9 class teachers and 22.5 SNAs. Applicants should have experience working in a special school setting. Knowledge and experience of visual communication, LÁMH, AAC and safety intervention training is desirable. However, experience and having a real interest and dedication to working with students with Special Educational Needs to help them achieve their full potential is extremely important and highly desirable alongside the necessity to work as part of a team.
St. Anne’s School is a Catholic school and applicants will be required to uphold the ethos and teach Religious Education.
