Administrative Principal
Portlaoise Educate Together NS, Summerhill, Portlaoise, Co. Laois

Portlaoise ETNS is large developing school in Portlaoise. It will have 18 mainstream classes and two autism classes in September 2024. We currently have 430 pupils, In September we will have a staff consisting of 36 teachers and 11 SNAs, fulltime secretary, caretaker and cleaner.
The criteria for interview will be based on Looking at Our Schools 2022 and the following four domains –
• Leading learning and teaching
• Managing the organisation
• Leading school development
• Developing leadership capacity
An understanding of the Educate Together Ethos will also be assessed along with a thorough understanding of SEN.
Candidates must:
• Be fully registered with the Teaching Council (Route 1).
• Have at least 5 years recognised primary teaching experience.
• Comply with the eligibility criteria for Principalship as set out in Circular 44/2019 from the Department of Education.
