An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The escort will accompany pupils on taxi/bus transport from their home to and from school.
The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons. (approx 7:15am-8:45am, and again from either 1:20pm or 2:20pm) These are optimal times and will be confirmed once routes and pick-up/drop-off locations are confirmed.

The escort will ideally have their own transport to and from the pick-up and drop off point agreed with the bus contractor. However, it may be possible for the bus to collect you en-route to collect the pupils, or meet you somewhere convenient.
Routes may cover Dublin 11, Dublin 5, Dublin 7, Dublin 2

Experience of working with children with additional needs is preferable, but not essential. Must be kind, caring, patient and work well with children.

Responsibilities include accompanying and supervising students with special needs on their journey to and from school, ensuring seat belt is secured, helping with boarding/alighting from the taxi/bus
