An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidates.
Additional Information:
These positions consist of 2 full time posts (1 of these posts is a career break) and a 0.83 (Infant hours) contract.
This position will involve working closely with Principal teacher, class teacher and special education teacher in support of children with Special Educational Needs. The successful candidates would ideally have good communication skills and evidence of CPD in the area of Special Education.
Experience assisting children with autism particularly with emotional and communication difficulties in a special class setting is essential.
Experience and training in feeding care and toileting care.
A FETAC level 5 or 6 is desirable for these roles.
The appointments are subject to but not limited to Garda Vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and satisfactory references.
