Leighlinbridge N.S. is a vertical mainstream school with 2 special classes for pupils with ASD.
This is a PART-TIME position (0.5 day post).

Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as per the DES guidelines.
Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work both on their own initiative and in a team capacity. Experience working with young children in a primary school setting, working with children with ASD, dealing with challenging behaviours, toileting needs, general hygiene issues and assisting with orientation and mobility needs desirable.
Initial duties may change depending on the care needs of the children.
The appointment will be subject to Garda Vetting, Occupational Health Screening, and completion of Tusla online child Safeguarding training.
The 0.5 post is subject NCSE and SENO review.
Only those shortlisted for interview will be contacted.
Applicants deemed to be members of the supplementary panel must furnish a copy of their completed PF1 form with their application.
The successful candidate must be ready to start school for a staff training day on Wednesday the 28th August 2024. The school opens to children on Thursday the 29th August 2024.
