Additional Information:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
One Full-time and
one part-time (0.5) position.
Experience of working with children with autism, complex additional educational needs, emotional and behavioural needs, intimate care / toileting needs is essential.
Candidates will need to demonstrate their experience and ability to manage pupils presenting with challenging behaviours and must also demonstrate their ability to work as part of a school team under the direction of the class teacher, SEN Coordinator and Principal.
Candidates must display a strong work ethic, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training. This position will involve working closely with the class teacher and other S.N.A's in support of children with special needs.
Caherelly NS is a mainstream, mixed primary school with a special class (Autism).
The positions will comprise of mainstream and special class hours, at the discretion of the Principal.
Please include PF1 if applicable.
This position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
