Cork ETB invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Special Class Teacher in Rochestown Community Special School under Permanent Contracts(s) of Employment for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Rochestown Community Special School (RCSS) is a Community Special School that will provide for the needs of students with autism and complex learning needs and for students with complex learning needs who require the support of a special school, up from the beginning of Primary school up to eighteen years of age.
Qualifications (Essential):
• Applicants must meet the general and special requirements as set out from time to time by the Teaching Council of Ireland i.e. Route 1 (Primary)/ Route 2 (Post Primary) / Route 4 ( Other)
• Applicants who are in their final year of degree/postgraduate diploma which will lead to a teaching qualification, but who have not yet completed their final exams and/or received their results, may apply for advertised vacancies, subject to the provisions regarding Teaching Council registration set out below. Any offer of interview or employment is made pending the applicant’s results meeting the requirements of the vacancy.

An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
