Whitecross N.S is a mainstream school with three autism classes under the Patronage of Bishop Tom Deenihan, Bishop of Meath.

Essential requirements:
QQI level 6 for Special Needs Assistants
Experience from working in a mainstream school, special class or special school.
Excellent interpersonal skills, and interest in working in an enthusiastic, dynamic and vibrant, team environment
Demonstrated interest in supporting the educational needs of autistic students with complex needs.

Desirable
Experience of supporting the completion of personal pupil plans and care plans
Good understanding of the role of the SNA
Any additional and relevant continuous professional development undertaken or an identified interest in areas of CPD you would like to undertake in the future

We are currently hiring for 3 positions:
1) Fixed-term & part-time job share (full day)
2) Fixed-term & part-time job share (infant day)
3) Substitute (26th August to 8th November) This may be extended.

This appointment is subject to the following:

Provision of certified copies of qualifications
Completion of Garda vetting
Child protection training
