Camcloon National School is a vertical, co-educational, primary school under Patronage of the Archdiocese of Tuam. The Board of Management of Camcloon NS invites applications for the position of Principal.
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland (Route 1 - Primary) and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a recognised primary school.
The roles and responsibilities of the post are determined by the four domains of leadership and management as specified in DES Circular 0044/2019.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3 Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with the strong inter-personal skills that are required to lead and maintain a happy, active and progressive school community. A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school is essential. Candidates must hold a Certificate to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
