An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Bhríde is a vertical co-educational school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Kilmore, Bishop Martin Hayes. The school seeks to appoint an Administrative Principal beginning on 2nd September 2024.
The present teaching staff comprises currently of 1 Admin. Principal, 3 Class Teachers and 2 SET's (1 full time and one shared teacher), 1 ASD Class Teacher, 1 EI Class Teacher and
5 SNA'’s. We are gaining a 4th Classroom Teacher in September and are awaiting approval of a 3rd ASD Class.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with the strong inter-personal skills that are required to lead and maintain a happy, active, and progressive school community. A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school is essential. Likewise fostering links with the wider community is desirable.
This school always strives to be a child-centred, happy and safe environment for all its pupils to learn and develop to the best of their individual strengths and abilities. In addition to high academic expectations pupils are provided with opportunities to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
It is the policy of Scoil Bhríde to foster self-esteem and empathy and to value each pupil for their uniqueness and difference. High standards and expectations are promoted, with efforts and initiative recognised and rewarded appropriately.
The roles and responsibilities for the post are set out in the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in DoE Circular 0044/2019, Chapter 4.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
Candidates should have current and continuing Teaching Council registration and show evidence of and commitment to ongoing Professional Development. They must have an in-depth knowledge and experience of SEN.
Candidates should be able to foster the involvement of parents within the school community, as well as a commitment to inclusion and diversity.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
