An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Garrydoolis N.S. invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of Special Needs Assistant (0.83 post). We are therefore looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our team and work on their own initiative.
Candidates must be willing to undertake courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school. Experience and/ or training in working with children with ASD, ADHD, dyspraxia, emotional and behavioural difficulties and medical care needs, such as diabetes, is advantageous and desirable.

Appointment is subject to Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening. Applicants who are deemed to be part of the SNA Supplementary Panel, with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel Form (PF1) with their application.
