Wilson's Hospital School is one of Ireland’s oldest and most successful 7-day boarding schools for boys and girls, situated 15km north of Mullingar, in Co. Westmeath. We are committed to the provision of the highest quality education.
In the current academic year, there are 205 boarders (120 female and 85 male)
BOARDING SUPERVISORS
Sought as soon as possible, but no later than 8th March 2024.
We are seeking to appoint outstanding individuals to fill the role of Boarding Supervisor for March 2024 to be part of our boarding staff team. Involvement in the co-curricular life of the school is expected. Some teaching could be offered to a successful applicant, though this is not essential.

Interviews will be held shortly after the closing date via Zoom or on-site.

As agreed with the Principal, duties include but are not limited to, and may be subject to change, the following:
•Regular meetings with the Warden and Head of Boarding
•Liaison with school nurses
•Liaison with teachers on duty
•Dormitory supervision
•Prep supervision
•Supper supervision
•Putting students to bed
•Maintaining and encouraging good personal hygiene amongst students
•Ensuring those in your care conduct themselves with dignity, courtesy, good conduct and respect for others
•Caring for students and listening to and helping to address concerns as they arise
•Lock up duties
•Wake up duties
•Breakfast supervision
•Early morning dorm supervision
•Extra-curricular activities
•Maintain records and complete care and attendance lists
•Upholding Child Safeguarding standards
•Liaison with parents and guardians
•Liaison with other relevant staff
•Reporting of concerns to the Warden/Deputy Principal/Head of Boarding
•Record keeping and note taking where appropriate
