Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Administrative Principal of Limerick Community Special School under a Permanent Contract of Employment to take effect immediately at the conclusion of the Recruitment process.

Limerick Community Special School is a Community Special School that provides an appropriate education for students, aged 4 to 18 years old, who have a diagnosis of Autism with complex needs, moderate general learning disability and/or autism, with a professional recommendation for a Special School/who require the support of a Special School setting. The new school will be located in Limerick City.

On application for the post, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under Route 1 (Primary), Route 4 (Other) or Route 2 (Post Primary) with the Teaching Council
• 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary or post primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
• Significant experience with children who have a diagnosis of Autism/Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or Special Education Needs is desirable.
• A post-graduate qualification in Special Education is desirable.
