Féadfar painéal inmheánach d’iarratasóirí oiriúnacha a bhunú chun folúntais a líonadh a d’fhéadfadh teacht chun cinn laistigh de thréimhse ama ar leith ón dáta a fhaomhfaidh an Bord an t-iarrthóir rathúil (ceithre mhí i gcás poist mhúinteora agus fad na scoilbhliana do phoist CRS).

Successful applicants will be expected to display the following skills and competencies:

1. Have experience of working with children who are Deaf
2. Have an ability to communicate in Irish Sign Language
3. Display an excellent level of communication skills in English
4. Display flexibility, team work and initiative to work independently as well as part of the team
5. Have experience of and enthusiasm for working with children
6. Have an interest and willingness to provide additional support to the pupils
7. Be able to respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils
8. Be willing to avail of accredited courses in Irish Sign Language and other training as required

Duties include communicating between teacher and children in ISL, working with children of all ages, assisting children with intimate care, accessing activities and supporting students with challenging behaviours and complex physical needs.
Additional relevant qualifications e.g. Irish Sign Language, first aid, manual handling, Lámh, PECS, etc. are desirable.
