The School
Greystones Community National School opened in September 2015 and as a Community National School, is part of a relatively new model of primary school established to answer the changing needs of Irish society. Greystones CNS is a multi-belief school which welcomes pupils of all faiths and none. The school is committed to a spirit of inclusion, equality and partnership in education. Greystones Community National Schools is under the patronage of Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board.
Greystones CNS is committed to the highest standards in teaching and learning and to achieve this leadership work in a collaborative and supportive manner to ensure teachers perform to the best of their abilities through teacher support and in class visits.
At all times the child is central to the educational process. Every effort is made, with the co-operation of parents, to help each child to reach his/her full potential. We believe that co-operation, courtesy and good manners are essential for an effective school and for the educational development of our pupils.
We firmly believe that parental involvement is key to ensuring the best outcomes for children and maintain an open-door policy for parents. We aim to make parents feel completely welcome and valued at Greystones CNS. You can learn more about us at www.greystonescns.ie
As a developing school we present a unique opportunity for the right candidate to progress their career and quickly become a key staff member in what is a rapidly developing school. Staff members must be prepared to be very flexible in what is a new school and so a constantly evolving environment. In Sept 21, we moved to a brand new 24 classroom building in Charlesland in Greystones.
National Vetting Bureau and Occupational Health
All new employees must be Garda Vetted under the new arrangements made with the Teaching Council. The school must have proof of this before a teacher is allowed to take up work. Teachers will also have to complete OHS with Medmark prior to taking up the role.
These Maternity Cover roles will run from 08/01/24 until the end of June.
