The Monastery School is a DEIS Urban 1 senior primary school catering for boys from 2nd-6th class. The school has a Catholic ethos and is under the patronage of The Archbishop of Cashel and Emly .
The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in DES Circular 0044/2019.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate::
A clear understanding of and a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic Primary School.
Evidence of an understanding of DEIS and its implementation, the ability to foster the involvement of parents within the school community as well as a commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Excellent communication skills..
Proven ability to work as part of a team and to foster leadership in others. .
Knowledge and capacity to lead and administer a school..
Evidence of a commitment to ongoing Professional Development.
The successful candidate must have a recognised Certificate to teach Religious Education.
Applicants for this post must be fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching serviice two of which which must must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of ireland.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
