An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We are seeking a dedicated and proficient Irish Sign Language (ISL) Support Special Needs Assistant (SNA) to join our team. Proficiency in ISL is essential; the successful candidate must effectively support the student's communication needs using ISL. Ideal candidates will possess qualifications in Deaf Studies, ISL Teaching, or ISL Interpreting, along with a strong ISL proficiency.
The position is separate from SNA redeployment and is above the NCSE allocation to the school.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist the school in enhancing its overall ISL capacity.
The role will continue as long as the specific ISL needs are present in the school.

Job Type: Part-Time (0.83) – Junior Infants Day
Start: As soon as possible
Requirements:
Applicants must demonstrate documented proficiency in ISL.
ISL competence may be evaluated during the selection process.
Appointment Requirements:
Subject to vetting, occupational health screening, relevant qualifications, and completion of Tusla Children First E-Learning Programme.
