The Board of Management of Raheen National School ( Scoil Naomh Chuan) invites applications for the position of Deputy Principal. This is a permanent, teaching, Deputy Principal
post and, the appointment will be made via open competition.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the school, hold a recognized qualification to teach Religious Education and be fully registered with the Teaching Council.
The Deputy Principal will work with the Principal to develop effective leadership within the school.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities for this position relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management outlined in circular 0044/2019.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organization.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
A panel will be formed, from which positions which arise in the school within 4 months, can be filled.
