Ballintubber National School is a Catholic school under the patronage of Archbishop Francis Duffy, Tuam Diocese.
Applicants should be fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) or Route 4 (Other) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
The Quality Framework for Leadership and Management in Irish schools, set out in LOOKING AT OUR SCHOOLS 2022- a Quality Framework, provides a common understanding and language around the organisation and practice of leadership and management roles in Irish schools. It identifies the key leadership and management areas in a school (domains).
The Domains are:
1. Leadership Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Refer to Circular 0044/2019 RECRUITMENT/PROMOTION AND LEADERSHIP FOR REGISTERED TEACHERS IN RECOGNISED PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Applicants must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education and be able to demonstrate a commitment to leading and strengthening the Catholic ethos of this school.
