The Board of Management of School of the Holy Spirit, seeks applications from suitably qualified SNAs for the above positions. Salary and conditions as per the Department of Education & Skills.
School of the Holy Spirit is a special vertical school for students with Autism and/or Emotional Behavioural Difficulties. Enrolment is 84 students aged between 4-18 years. There are 20 Teachers and 31 SNAs on staff. 7 classes are at primary level and 7 classes are at secondary level.
Applicants must have significant experience (at least 2 years) of working in a special school environment as part of a special school base team with students who have a primary diagnosis of Autism.
They should present with a level of general personal suitability for this school. Experience in essential competencies should include assisting toileting, challenging behaviour, and assisting therapy sessions.

Qualifications in the following courses are desirable due to the specialised nature of the work in this school:
• Fetac Level 5 Childcare or equivalent qualification
• An understanding of, and experience in assisting Multi-Sensory Integration Therapy Programmes would be a distinct advantage.

A panel of suitable applications may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a four-month period from the date of the advertisement. Suitable applicants may also be invited to join a substitute panel of SNAs.
