Where appropriate an internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up from which future vacancies (including cover SNA vacancies) may be filled (valid for the duration of the school year).
Sligo School Project is a multi-denominational Deis Band 1 school under the patronage of Sligo School Project CLG.
Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative, display a strong work ethic, have a good knowledge of the ethos of the school and be flexible.
It is essential that candidates are able to apply manual handling and fostering of positive behaviour patterns based on strategies which are suitable in Sligo School Project.
A specific competence to meet the additional care needs are very good musical skills. Experience of working with children in a Deis Band 1 school is an advantage.
Duties may include assisting with eating and intimate care, assisting in the swimming pool and other educational outings.
Successful candidates will be expected to respect confidentiality at all times.
This is a full-time post.
Compliance with relevant Garda Vetting Requirements is essential.
Medical fitness of the successful applicant must be confirmed before taking up the post.
Applicants should have qualifications as per Department of Education and Skills Circular 0051/2019.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.
