This is a job-sharing position and will be one half of a full-time 1.0 Standard SNA post. It is a fixed-term position.
This job-sharing arrangement is subject to the procedures for the SNA Job-Sharing Scheme in Circular 0041/2014 (Department of Education) and the school's Staff Leave Policy.
It is envisaged that the appointed candidate will work a "split week arrangement". The working week will alternate between Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday and working every second Wednesday.
A 32 hour maternity leave post will also be filled from this round of interviews.

Experience of working with children in an ASD class setting is advantageous.
Our school values all team members equally and Special Needs Assistants are an integral part of the school community. In our school, a key role of the SNA is to promote independence in the children with whom they are working.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel are required to state this in the cover email and attach the relevant PF1 Form.
