An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position is for 0.33 of a post meaning that the successful applicant would work daily for just over two hours with pro-rata Croke Park hours. This position is subject to NCSE allocation. As with all positions, the SNA will work with the children in our school with the greatest additional needs.

Sandylane National School is a co-educational primary school that caters for children from Junior Infants to 6th class.
The appointment will be subject to confirmation of qualifications, Garda Vetting requirements (DES Circular 31/2016) and Occupational Health Screening.
Criteria for this position is as follows:
1. Applicants must have a Special Needs Assistant QQI/FETAC
Level 5 Qualification, or equivalent.
2. Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications/courses or
experience e.g. Introduction to Children First, First Aid, Manual
Handling etc.
3. Knowledge and experience of working with children with a wide
range of complex needs, including children with Autism and
ADHD.
4. Experience of working in a primary school setting.
5. Commitment to further development is important.
6. The successful candidate must display a strong work ethic, show
flexibility and the initiative to work independently and as part of a
team.
