St. Joseph's Special School has 12 classes currently, made up of three Primary classes for students with Mild General Learning Disability, five Post Primary classes for students with Mild General Learning Disability and four classes specifically for Autistic students with a General Learning Disability. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each student and we offer access to the primary curriculum, Junior Cycle and LCA.

We are looking for one permanent Special Class Teacher with initial duties in a special class for Autistic children with a general learning disability. While not essential, experience and qualifications in special education and Autism as well as the use of PECS, LAMH and the TEACCH approach are desirable.
