Flagmount Central National School invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of part-time Special Needs Assistant.

• We are looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the
children and the school.
• We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our
team and work on his/her own initiative.
• Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of
the children & the school.
• Experience of and/or, training in working with children with A.S.D, EBD & ADHD
• Experience of the TEACCH and ABC approaches to intervention would be
advantageous
• Assist the pupil on School outings e.g. school tours and regular visits to our local Forest School
• An interest in doing hands on activities with pupils e.g. baking & school garden
