The Board of Management of Scoil na Maighdine Mhuire invites applicants for the position of Deputy Principal. This is a permanent position and the appointment will be made via open competition.
The Deputy Principal will work with the Principal and the in school management team to ensure the effective management of the school. The Deputy Principal will work closely with the Principal to ensure that all pupils have a positive educational experience, that there is strong leadership across the school and that the school fully conforms o the governance structures set out by the Department of Education.
Applicants are required to have a recognised certificate to teach religion.
Specific roles and responsibilities for this position relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management as outlined in "Looking at our School 2022: A Quality Framework for Primary Schools and Special Schools":
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
The appointment will be subject to but not limited to: satisfactory references, current and continuing Teaching Council registration, current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
