Kilkenny College is a co-educational boarding and day school with a Church of Ireland (Anglican) Characteristic Spirit or Ethos. Boarding is central to the purpose of the College. Staff employed as Houseparent undertake the responsibility of nurturing, supporting, guiding and supervising boarding students, recognising their innate worth as individuals. All teaching and boarding staff are Mandated Persons under the DES and TUSLA Child Protections requirements and Kilkenny College Board of Directors Policy. No individual may commence work at Kilkenny College without having prior Garda Vetting Clearance and having completed TUSLA Online Child Protection Certification.
