St. Etchen’s NS, Kinnegad is a Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath.
The following skills, knowledge and experience are desirable.
• Ability to lead and work as part of a team.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organisational capacities.
• A broad range of teaching experience.
• A knowledge of and commitment to Special Education in primary school.
• An understanding of inclusion and diversity in modern primary school.
• An appreciation of the school as part of the wider parish community.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to lead and strengthen the Catholic ethos of the school. He/she must hold a recognised qualification to teach Religion in a Catholic primary school.
The roles and responsibilities of this post are determined by the four domains of leadership and management as set out in Circular 44/2019.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
This is an open competition.
All applications must be received by post only and addressed to “The Chairperson, St. Etchen’s NS, The Parochial House, Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath, N91 W2F8 by Tuesday August 23rd 2022.
